According to the footage released by DAZN, Mbappe approached the officials for an explanation, but, not receiving an answer, suddenly exploded with emotions. The video clearly shows him throwing the French “Sale con, va!” twice. (go away, go away) towards the judge, probably expecting that he would not understand the meaning.
Already on his way to the locker room, Mbappe repeated this insult again after the referee, after a short verbal dispute with the “Elche” player.
Earlier, the cameras recorded Mbappe emotionally pushing his partners – Bellingham and Vinicius – demanding to “press higher” and snatch victory at the end.
When one of the opponents prolonged the game pause, Mbappe turned to the referee: “This is too much, we lost a lot of time! If he can’t play, let him go! Let us continue!”
However, if these lines can still be considered ordinary emotionality, then the recorded insults can be the basis for additional punishment from the disciplinary committee. Real Madrid and Mbappe himself now await the league’s decision, which could turn out to be quite severe.
