“We were not quite in the mood at the beginning of the match, while Obolon showed itself well in the opening game. The opponent put pressure on us, and a quick goal sent the team into a knockdown – it was difficult to recover after that. “Rukh” created moments, but the game did not go our way from the start of the match.
There was a lack of concentration at certain moments. Some episodes we did not play to the end – we did not always feel that the opponent would be the first on the ball, we lost a lot of battles, we started pressing late. It was a failed match for us.
“Rukh” always tries to play fast and dynamic football, press the opponent high. These are our standard instructions before the game, but this time we failed to follow the instructions of our coaching staff. The team gave too much space to the players of “Obolon” – they could think for a long time and qualitatively assess the situation, find free zones and move the ball forward.
It is a shame to suffer such defeats. “Rukh” plays well against the leaders, as an example – matches against “Polyssia”, “Kryvbas”, “Shakhtar”, “Olexandria” and “Dynamo”. In these matches, we play on equal footing with our opponents. And then the team goes out to play with opponents who are lower than us in class, and we fail these matches. Perhaps the reason lies in our experience – we are young players and cannot always adjust to the game correctly,” said Kholod.
