Premier League SaturdayHello and welcome to the start of the weekend!
It feels like forever since we’ve last had Premier League football. The European scene dominated the midweek, whilst the magic of the FA Cup was still alive and kicking last weekend.
But alas, we’re back and with a bang.
The title has seemingly been wrapped up and the same can be said for the fight at the bottom. So, as it tends to be in recent years, the race for Europe is here to take full control of the league’s last stretch narrative.
Our first game starts with that as two Champions League hopefuls go at it. Nottingham Forest host Manchester City with both sitting third and fourth, respectively and a chasing pack hounding behind them.
In the afternoon games, European-chasing mid-table-defining Brighton and Fulham will head-to-head, with table-toppers Liverpool also in action and in the late afternoon one: Aston Villa ahead to the ever-challenging Gtech to go up against Brentford.
Two sides who won’t be in the fight for Europe and are increasingly looking safe is Wolverhampton Wanderers and Everton. The latter are 15 points ahead of the dropzone whilst even without the mercurial star Matheus Cunha, Wolves also look too good to go down. They’re the evening game at 8.00pm GMT.
We’ve got you covered throughout the day.
