The price of drinks at the first direct Arena was eye-watering

Fans were in great voice in Leeds, but the mood was dampened by the extraordinary pint pricesFans were quick to berate the price of drinks at the venue, with eye-watering numbers greeting them as they approached the bar.
You’d expect prices to be a bit kinder up north than in London, but spectators were met with a completely different story as they queued up for booze.
Many had to rub their eyes in disbelief as the number “£9.25” was lit up alongside the wording “Single Pint Cup”.
For two pints, it was £18.50.
That sparked outrage on social media, with one account – Football Away Days on X – labelling the prices as “an absolute joke”.
In the comments, spectators were livid.
One said: “I was there in October it was £8.50 a pint.”
Another went political with it, commenting: “These sports are built on the backs of the working class and then once they’ve built it, it’s ripped away and sold to casuals and influencers and anyone with money.
“Boxing, football, darts. Funny that 3 of these are ran by Hearns.

And a further comment read: “About time the price of a pint was capped! £3 anywhere outside London!!” cried another commenter.
Others were more realistic about the pricing, saying: “I was there last night and the queues were massive. A 2-pinter lasted all night at those prices.”
Another added: “It’s the price of the arena. Not “the darts”.
As for the action itself in Yorkshire, Luke Humphries edged out Luke Littler 6-5 to win on night 14 of the series.
Humphries and Gerwyn Price sealed play-off places alongside Littler, who defeated the Welshman in the last four.
Humphries beat Stephen Bunting earlier in the evening, while Littler beat Nathan Aspinall, Price ousted Rob Cross, Humphries defeated Michael van Gerwen, and Bunting overcame Chris Dobey.
