Polissia – LNZ. Forecast and announcement for the match of the championship of Ukraine

On Sunday, September 22, a match of the seventh round of the Ukrainian Premier Football League will be held in Zhytomyr at the “Centralny” stadium, in which “Polyssia” from Zhytomyr and LNZ from Cherkasy will play. The starting whistle of referee Dmytro Panchyshyn from Kharkiv will sound at 18:00 Kyiv time.

Forested
The ambitious project of Zhytomyr “Polyssia” continues its course without defeat in the current season. Imad Ashur’s team lost only once, when they failed to beat Ingulets on their own field in the third round (1:1), while the rest of the meetings the “wolves” ended exclusively with victories. Moreover, they are among a fairly narrow circle of teams with the fewest number of missed goals – three, the same number on the account of “Dynamo” and “Rukha”.

It was these two rivals of “Polyssya” who played each other in a draw (0:0) the day before, which is certainly good news for the Ashur team. After all, it is possible to catch up with the capital team in terms of points in the tournament table, and once again break away from Lviv, who are already two points behind, by all five. At the same time, “Alexandria” will again catch up and overtake due to a better goal difference.

In the near future, the “wolves” will have a very interesting calendar with games against the “brothers” in green in the form of “Karpat” and “Vorskla”, against whom they will have to play on the road, and “Left Berezh”, which itself will visit Zhytomyr, but already after another international break. Let’s not once again emphasize the fact that the calendar of “Polyssia” could be more interesting due to participation in European Cups, because Ashur football players can at least deal with this load. In the last “bloody” derby against “Veres”, Smolyakov and Chobotenko received dissection, and now the central defender, most likely, should be given a rest. Polissia has no other staffing problems, except for Beni Makuan, who is still unable to get in shape after a serious injury. And is there a need for a legionnaire with Nazarenko in such form (6 goals + 3 goals)?

LNZ
The future opponent of “Polyssia” will be the team, after the defeat against which in the second part of the last season (0:1), the European cup ambitions of “wolves” could be under great threat. And we are still talking about that team led by Oleg Dulub, who was considered to be playing “boring” football for the result. Nowadays, the Spaniard Andres Carrasco is filling everything, so the expectations from the performances of the “violets” are not without premonitions every time.

But that was the case before the first international break of this season, which LNZ went to with a defeat against Kyiv “Dynamo” (0:1), in which there seems to be nothing shameful and unexpected, but then we saw the first example that the team from Cherkasy can refuse from own game principles. The result is a defeat in the context of one meeting, and if we look more globally, this factor also had an impact on the match against “Colossus” (1:1) at the beginning of the week.

LNZ no longer looks as winged as it seemed, for example, in the game against “Rukh” (1:3), when it inflicted the only defeat of the new season on the opponents to date. But at the same time, the “violets” could not turn around even some transfers like the signing of Shot Nonikashvili and Osama Halaila, and the results went down. Not to beat “Colossus” is a problem, but how to beat “Polyssya”, which is already higher than the same “Movement”, is already a dilemma for Carrasco. It is not possible to adjust in LNZ, but the Ashur team has no intention of giving up control over the game either. And everyone needs points.

Meeting history
The football paths of “Polyssia” and LNZ previously crossed 4 times within the framework of the Premier League and the First League. There is an advantage in the number of victories in favor of the club from Zhytomyr – 3 successful matches, and one game ended with the victory of the club from Cherkasy. The goal difference is 6:4. LNZ’s biggest and only victory came at the last meeting in March of this year – 1:0, when Denys Oliynyk’s goal brought victory to “purple” on the opponent’s field. “Polissya” won all three games in 2023 with the same score – 2:1.

Themis
The main referee of the upcoming game will be 37-year-old Dmytro Panchyshyn from Kharkiv, who has 27 matches in the “elite” division on his account. Taras Chopilko and Oleksandr Dashko will be the side referees, and Andriy Zaitsev will serve as the reserve referee. The VAR system will be present at the match, led by Viktor Matyash, who will be assisted by Yuriy Suryak. Panchyshyn has no experience of conducting a match with the participation of “Polyssia”, while with LNZ he crossed paths twice – a draw and a defeat.

Estimated compositions
“Polissya”: Volynets – Smolyakov, Matych, Vialle, Mykhailichenko – Talles Costa, Babenko, Krushynskyi – Nazarenko, Luifer, Hutsulyak.

LNH: Kucherenko – Daiko, Salihu, Muravskyi – Pasich, Yashari, Nonikashvili, Bar, Putria – Momo, Mollo.
