Robert is a pupil of the football school of the Legia Club. In adult football, the Pole made his debut in 2006 for the Znich team, in which he played two seasons, participating in 62 championship matches.
In 2008, Lewandovsky joined the Poznan “Lech”, where he also did not stay for a long time (2 years). In this short period, he managed to attract the attention of the football community: various Polish weekly and publication called Robert the opening of the year.
The first serious club in the career of Lewandowsk was the Dortmund Borussia, whose player he became in the summer of 2010. Initially, the young attacker did not pull the level of the German championship, which was why he was often criticized by local media. Adaptation for Robert was also difficult: he did not know the German language, but also did not withstand the unusually high rhythm of training, because of which the then coach of “Bee” Jurgen Klopp even reduced the intensity of classes.
Due to his diligence and perseverance, Robert in the 2011/12 season became the main striker of the team.
In the 2012/13 season, Robert in the Bee first got to the Champions League finals, but they failed to win – they gave way to another German team, Bavaria, with a score of 1: 2. In that campaign, the Pole was scored by scored balls at each stage except the finals. It was then that he designed the famous poker at the Madrid “Real Madrid” at the stage of the 1/2 finals.
Already in 2013, the Polish forward was interested in European grands, including the Munich Bavaria. Despite this, Lewandowski at the request of Borussia’s leadership remained in the club for another year.
On January 4, 2014, Robert officially signed a contract with Red. In the first season, the attacker was only adapted to the style of the then manager Pep Guardiola, which was why he was not highly effective, but in the next 2015/16 campaign he returned to a level at which he was loved by German fans. An example was the match against Wolfsburgh on September 22, 2015, in which Robert scored 5 goals in 9 minutes. As a result, he received four certificates at once: the fastest hat trick (3 minutes 22 seconds), poker (5 minutes 42 seconds), Penta-trick (8 minutes 59 seconds) and a record for the number of heads in one Bundesliga match after replacement (5).
Lewandowski and Bavaria continued dominance in the domestic arena for several years, but in Europe they did not manage to reach the highest level. It all changed in 2020, when the team was the German coach of Hansi Flik, who, not personally known at that time, turned European football upside down. According to the results of the 2019/20 season, Robert in the Bavarians won Treble. That year, according to most experts, the Pole was to become the winner of the Golden Ball, but the award was canceled through the Covid-19 pandemic. The football world still considers it one of the greatest “robbery” in the history of sports.
The next stop in the career of the attacker was the Spanish Barcelona, for which he still acts. In the first season (2022/23) in the Catalans, Lewandowski won the championship as well as Trophy Picichi, becoming the best scorer of the championship (23 goals).
The 2023/24 campaign seemed to “Blauugran” untohe, so it was called a failure. In that season, Robert showed a lower level of the game than usual, because of which fans believed that because of his age he would no longer be able to withstand the level of such a club, but the arrival of the ancient familiar Khans Flik in the summer of 2024 gave the attacker a second breath: inner Treble, 42 goals in 52 matches and nomination.
In the international arena for Poland Lewandowsk, he spent 158 matches, scored 85 goals and gave 35 assistants. In 2022, the attacker was first distinguished by a scored ball at the World Cup.
In a club career, the Polish forward participated in 823 duels, scoring 610 with balls, 155 productive gears and receiving 32 trophies:
