A terrifying warning was read out to fans and players alikeMcIlroy was leading by one shot as he played on the 12th hole.

Thunder and lightning cracked the sky as rain bucketed down.
And a warning read out: “Seek safe shelter or exit the premises.
“Avoid open areas, hill tops, and trees.”
People did not have to be told twice as the terrifying weather took hold.
Punters charged off the green to take cover from the storm.
While players including McIlroy made a mad dash to the clubhouse for safety.
