Alex Albon said that the Bolid Williams FW47 shows higher speed on the route than was expected by the results of simulatory tests.

The Grouva team confidently started the season – 25 points in the first five stages allowed her to reach fifth place in the designers. At the same time, 80% of all points were won by Albon, who finished in the rail zone for four out of five stages, passing only Bahrain.

Already surpassing last year’s result, the Thai-British racer stressed that such progress was quite expected.

As for management, I was always very sure that we would make progress as a team, ”Albon said.

I saw how the directions, the philosophy of the car and the ideas we focused on this year, when we analyzed our weaknesses last season.

The team is headed by James Voules, who continues to renew with the sight for long-term goals-including the return of Williams to the leadership position in Formula-1. At the same time, new technical philosophy is already producing results.

We traveled this car in the simulator – it was definitely better, ”Albon continued.

But we felt even more on the route – the car has a higher speed than expected.

This is quite rare, but very positive. It shows that we fix things well with reverse projection. We understand what has worked in our car, and this should help us in further development.

Albon also noted that the difference between the circles of 2024 and 2025 is significant, and this only confirms the effectiveness of a new approach to Williams.
