On Saturday, December 28, the annual Christmas race took place in the German city of Gelsenkirchen.
A total of 10 duets took part in the competition, among which was the Ukrainian pair of biathletes Yulia Dzyma and Dmytro Pidruchny
As a result, the Ukrainians took the third place in the mass start, but in the pursuit race, the representatives of Ukraine took the seventh place.

After the end of the Christmas race, the captain of the national team Dmytro disclosed who supported him live.
Pidruchny’s wife was present in the stands, who gave the athlete strength during the race.
“I enlisted the support of my wife,” Dmytro wrote.
