Ex-football player and the best player of the 2010 World Cup Diego Forlan played his first professional tennis match.

45-year-old Uruguayan along with Federico Coria (Argentina) received a wild card into the main doubles draw at the Challenger in Montevideo (Uruguay). In the 1st round, Forlan and Coria lost in two sets without much chance to the fourth seeded tandem Boris Arias / Federico Ceballos in 49 minutes.
