Philip Budkivsky: “When there is no result, you need to change the mentor”

Philip Budkivsky – Famous Ukrainian football player, captain of Zorya football club Lugansk. For his career, Budkivsky changed many teams, in particular, the attacker played for Desna, Illichivtsi, Polissya, French Sosho, Belgian Cortraik and other teams.

As of now, Budkivsky is the leader of the Lugansk club, and in the last match against the Movement, the forward was distinguished by a clogged ball. Philip told about this and other in an interview for the site Sport.ua.

– How are you? How do you feel after a duel against the “movement”?

– All is well, thank you. I feel normal.

– In the first circle you gave way to the “traffic” with a score 0: 3. Can you say that you had a special motivation to take revenge on the Lviv and defeat them?

– Yes, we came out with such a mood that we lost the first game with a score of 0: 3, so they wanted to give such a small debt. In principle, in my opinion, it turned out to be.

– What guidelines did you give you a head coach before the match with Lviv residents?

– We disassembled the opponent, watched matches and chose a plan for the game, in principle, this plan in the second half came out better.

– During the season, Zorya shows quite unstable results. How do you think it is related to?

– I do not agree with you here. Somewhere, we lacked a little bit, but lost somewhere because of mistakes. In principle, there was instability, lacked balance, but trained at the meeting, spoke with the team that this balance should be to be more balanced and if we win the result. In the second circle, we have to play better.

– How did the team meet the team? Did you manage to prepare properly for the second half of the season?

– Yes, the meetings were held in Turkey. They passed qualitatively, there were cool sparings, so they played and tuned, played what was prepared for the second half of the season. In principle, they were prepared normally, and then the results will be shown.

– What is the atmosphere now prevails in Dawn? Is there no problems in communication because there are many legionnaires in the team?

– In principle, legionnaires are trying, learning language, some legionnaires communicate in one language, so there is no great discord. In general, everyone understands each other in the field. We also talk to all communicate on the field and the field, that there is a language balance and everyone helps each other.

FC Dawn – You are one of the most experienced players in Dawn. Tell us about your role in a team. Do you give advice to young players and motivate them before the matches?

– Before a difficult game, at first something head coach says, then we get in a circle and also try to pick up some words to moisten the team. Sometimes it turns out somewhere. In general, everyone listens to the trainer and listen to what he says.

– What players do you think now play key roles in Dawn?

– I cannot answer this because it is a collective sport. In principle, if the mechanism will work equally and everyone will play a role in the football field, then the team will look good and the results will be. If someone does not perform the mechanism, the result can be negative.

– What are the goals before Zorya this season? Is there a task to get into the Euro Cup zone?

– This task is always worth it, because “Dawn” plays from year to year in the European Cups and tries to get to them. Therefore, we also want to perform the tasks that we put in front of us.

– In the course of the season, the head coach changed in Dawn. Tell us how it affected the team’s game and do you like Mladen Bartulovich’s work?

– Well, football is such a game, you should not be surprised. Yes, I understand that when there is no result, you need to change the mentor. Initially, the idea comes from the head coach, so the football players may not have worked somewhere and there was no result. Therefore, they chose a new trainer, in general, works, because he just finished his career, tries to tell, tell young players, and everyone to understand how to play.

– Since 2014, Zorya, unfortunately, cannot play home matches in Lugansk because of occupation. Tell us, do you like playing in Kiev? Is there enough support from fans?

– Well, there is not enough, because at home, many fans come in their hometown. In Kiev, in principle, they come too, cheer and even ultras at all. There were many fans at this match (ed. In my opinion, the more we will win, the more people will be tightened, and the more will like the game. For that, thank you and I want to get more and more at the stadium with every game of fans.
