Interestingly, this is the first gold of Ukraine in this discipline since 1997. For Onofriachuk, it was a second speech on the continental championship. Last year, at the European Championship, it stopped at 9th position, and now rose to the highest podium.
In 2025, Taisiya held 6 international competitions, with 29 medals of 30 possible (18 gold, 7 silver, 4 bronze). At the Czech 2025 Onofriychuk was considered one of the favorites. In qualification, she showed the best result (90.050).
In the finals, Taisiya showed the highest level from the very beginning: she received 29.950 points for the exercise with the hoop, and 28.600 for the ball. After two rotations, she was leading with a cut of 1.5 points from Siliana Nikolava and was able to maintain the advantage until the finals are completed.
As a result, Onofriychuk scored 117.800 points and became a European champion. Her compatriot Pauline Karika took 10th place with a result of 109.950.
This is the first in the history of Gold Taisiya Onofriychuk at European Championships. Last year, she won bronze in the hoop. For the first time since 1997, Ukraine has won in personal all -around on the CE. Only Kateryna Serebryansk (1996) and Elena Witrichenko (1997) became the champions.
Considering certain types, Ukraine took gold for artistic gymnastics in 2023, when Victoria Onoprienko triumphed in a hoop exercise.
Taisiya Onofriychuk will still have a chance to replenish her medal test. On Sunday, June 8, it will perform in all four finals in separate types.
