– The opinion is negative. I congratulate the Polissya team on the victory. We did not work as planned. The first thirty minutes or so was what we wanted to see, but then it fell short.
– If you could replay this match, what would you change?
– You need to watch the game. We were preparing for the Polissia structure, but, unfortunately, not everything was successful. If there was an opportunity to rematch, perhaps something would have been changed – both in the scheme and in the composition. But it is difficult to say so spontaneously.
– You often select the team for the opponent. Did they not guess today or was it impossible against this Polissya?
– I wouldn’t say that they didn’t guess with the composition. All players can play in one or the other scheme. There are those who do it better, and there are those who find it more difficult. It’s not about the composition, but, rather, about my shortcomings.
– What is the main conclusion that can be drawn after the match?
– I can honestly say – 0:4, this is the main conclusion. But the final reasons will be understood only after a detailed analysis.
– In the first half, especially from the 15th to the 30th minute, the team acted actively, created moments, but after the conceded goal, the game fell apart. Was this episode a turning point?
– When Polissya scores, they don’t stop – they continue to play their football, they don’t give the ball to the opponent. They can only be beaten in a different key, but not in their scheme. They are improving their structure, we see it and analyze it. You see their last games, they struggled at first, but then things picked up. The fact that the score was already 1:0, a handicap, was not bad for them. We were following the plan until the 30th minute, then something broke. It’s my mistake, we’ll figure out why it happened. I roughly understand the reason, but you need to review everything carefully.
– What disappointed you the most today? Maybe defense?
– The score 0:4 is the main disappointment. For me personally, for the team and for our fans. Defense? I can’t say that someone played insecurely, rather my work in preparation for this match was insecure.
