The former goalkeeper of the Odessa “Chernomorets” Oleg Bilyk spoke about the experience of working with authoritarian coaches, in particular with Roman Grigorchuk:
“I did not have such personalities as Grigorchuk on the coaching bridge. He began his professional career with Vladimir Bogdanovich Sharan. He is a heavy trainer and man, but not so. Communication is adequate with him, you could come and he will explain to you that you do not play one game, but expect yourself at the base. Sometimes there were differences between us, but you at least understood what to expect. Lighter, he knew what to prepare for. In Chernomorets, a solid unknown. There are no such “special” coaches as Grigorchuk.
