Red Bull pilot Max Verstappen, who won the pole after qualifying for the Qatar Grand Prix, lost his first place after receiving a one-position penalty.
Verstappen, while preparing for the decisive attempt, drove his warm-up lap too slowly and interfered with George Russell. It is Russell who climbs to first place and will start from pole, while Verstappen will start the race second.
