AFC Rushden & Diamonds saw their match against Harborough Town suspendedCredit: Getty AFC Rushden & Diamonds faced Harborough Town away in the first round of the FA Trophy.
Harborough led 2-0 at half-time.
But the match was halted early in the second 45.
At 4.12pm, the AFC Rushden & Diamonds X account posted: “51’ Break in the game as there is an incident in the stands.”
That was then followed up with: “16:19pm – The players have been led off the pitch while the medical emergency in the stands is ongoing.”
The away side then added a third update at 4.32pm – 20 minutes after the initial stoppage.
The Diamonds wrote: “51’ Players are back on and the game has restarted at 51 minutes!”
Harborough also kept their supporters in the loop with the worrying scenes.
The Bees said: “Delay in the game at the moment as the Stewards and HTFC Medical Team attend to a medical incident in the crowd.
“Both teams are back in the dressing rooms currently.”
They later added: “Back underway at the Beehive.
“Everyone’s thoughts with the spectator who has been taken into the clubhouse by the HTFC Medical Team.”
Three minutes after the restart, Harborough added their third.
The Leicestershire non-league side reached the FA Cup second round last season, losing 5-3 to Reading in extra-time.
This season, they missed out on reaching the first round after losing a fourth qualifying round replay to Altrincham.
