The 18-year-old athlete won all his floods at the 2025 World Cup. In qualification, he showed the time of 21.82 seconds, which became the new record of Ukraine and exceeded the previous achievement of Vladislav Bukhov (2020) by 0.15 sec.
In the semifinals, Sheremet sailed the distance even faster (21.75 sec), updating the national record and repeating the world record among juniors, which since 2017 belongs to American Michael Andrew.
In the finals, the Ukrainian finished with the result of 21.99 seconds and won the 2025 World Cup, leaving all the opponents behind.
Silver won Jacob Mills from the United Kingdom (22.02 sec), bronze reached the Italian Carlos D’Ambrozio (22.14 sec).
