“They thought that I had hidden some kind of money. Just the day before, I was paid 10 thousand, and I gave two of them to children’s coaches. There are 8 left – it’s good that there was at least something to give. But it was not enough for them. They overturned the whole house, smashed the walls. And they tortured in such a way that, probably, anyone would have given everything. But there was nothing else.
In 2004, Myron Bogdanovych Markevich, a well-known Ukrainian football coach, was robbed at his country house in the city of Vinniki (Lviv region). The intruders broke into the house, brutally beat him, demanded money and took some of the property. After that, the law enforcement officers detained the members of the criminal group.
