The Ukrainian Beach Football Team at the invitation of the Lithuanian football federation of the last age-end took part in an international mini-tournament in Klaipeda. In the first duel, the blue and yellow overcame Lithuania (2: 1), in the second they gave way to Poland (1: 5), and in the third beat Germany (7: 6). As a result, the Ukrainians took second place in the competition, passing only the Poles forward.
The results of the performance of the Ukrainian national football team in Lithuania summed up the team mentor Mykola Kostenko.
“First, at this tournament we wanted to view young boys-candidates for the national team. For three players it was the first call (brothers Melnychuk and Gregory Komar), for one – the second (Alexander Samoilenko), and two more performers joined the team only last season (Anton Ross and Nikita Levchenko). It was necessary to look at their prospects, their potential, whether they could become players of the national team in the future.
Secondly, it is equally important, it is the opportunity to support the game tone of the boys in the off-season. This tournament plus the competition in February in El Salvador helped them feel the sand again. We are now a little more than a month to prepare for official tournaments this season.
In general, the result of the speech in Lithuania is satisfied. It was achieved despite some logistics problems. The road to Klaipeda was very difficult, because they were traveling for a day. The rivals were difficult, and so the second place in the tournament was a decent result. As for newcomers, they have one hundred percent. The main thing is that motivation simply goes crazy. They gladly came to training and gave everything they could at that moment.
In addition, they all perform in futsal teams – who is in the first league, who is in the Kiev Championship, so constantly in game tone. For our coaching staff, the basic moment is that in fact, all our newcomers have good speed. Both start and speed endurance at height. Plus a blow, functional readiness and understanding of the game. That is, the foundation is good, because the futsal is tactically very similar to beach football. There are, of course, their differences, but there are the same points. In general, there are no claims against debutants. The only thing they lacked is the feeling of sand and the appropriate technical elements, such as, for example, by scissors.
The overall assessment of the coaching staff – we were in favor of both the tournament and the involvement of newcomers. We are even somewhat surprised by the level they demonstrated. For systematic work, everyone has the potential to become high -level players in beach football.
In our coaching staff one approach – the national team is playing the best at the time of official tournaments. We always focus on completing the tasks and therefore we summon the most prepared. That is, we also keep in touch with experienced players who for various reasons did not participate in the Lithuanian tournament. We keep them in sight.
Regarding our official speeches this season, the Ukrainian national team will play in the Europeanization-2025 in the Division A. Moreover, our opponents are already known in the first stage of selection to the superfinals. This is Spain, Georgia and Germany. In terms of preparation for these competitions, in a week, we plan to go out on the sand. Initially, the players will work in their clubs, and in early May we expect to make a training and training fee. In mid -May, two tournaments in our capital are also planned. The first is the Kiev Super Cup, the second is the Eugene Ryabchuk Cup. If everything goes, as it should be, then every player of the national team will spend 5-6 matches in May. ”
The first stage of selection to the European Lediga-2025 superfinals from beach football will be held on May 22-25 in Spanish Cadis. The second – August 1-3 in Chisinau. The superfinal will be held on September 9-14 in Italian Algero.
