MLS club beat the League Transfer Record by signing a player from the championship

MLS representative – “Atlanta United” – set a transfer record in the history of the League, having drawn a transfer from the English championship.

The American team paid for the Middlesbro forward Emmanuel Latte-Lata 21.25 million euros. The 26-year-old African football player signed a contract by the end of 2028 with an option to continue for another season. It should be noted that the transfer amount may increase as the parties have agreed on different bonuses.

The transition of Latte-Lata has become the most expensive in MLS history. The previous one lasted a couple of days – in January this year, the Belgian Forward “Serkl Brugge” Kevin Denkey moved to Cincinnati for 15.3 million euros.

This season, Emmanuel Latte-Lat spent 31 matches for Middlesbro in all tournaments, scored 11 goals and gave three means.
