Mladen BARTULOVYCH: “Zorya has always been a man”

– I congratulate my team on a very important victory for us. Finally, we showed character, which we lacked in the matches against LNZ, against Kryvbas. It might not be our best game, but we’re happy with the way it turned out.

– Today you did not have a right defender. There is Jean Trontel in the reserve, but Slesar, who you replaced at halftime because of mistakes or because he simply “burned out”, came out. And anyway, they released not Trontel, but Kyryukhantsev. Why?

– I take full responsibility, because this is my decision. I decided so. Talked to him. He is a young guy. They counted on his activity, on his speed. Maybe, as you said, it “burned out” somewhere. Then they decided to release Kiryukhantsev, because Artem had a yellow card. Trontel works. Everyone works. We still have Kyryukhantsev and Gusev for this position. I look at the work and make a decision.

– In the last matches, you changed the main goalkeeper.

– We had unsuccessful matches against LNZ and two games against Shakhtar. Something had to be changed. We have three equal goalkeepers – Saputin, Turbaevsky and Matsapura. There is competition. Everyone is talented. Everyone is waiting for their chance. Saputin received it and uses it. I hope that he will continue to work like this.

– Previously, “Zora” had the nickname “men”. Today, one of the fans chanted this very word, because “Zorya” was able to make a comeback. Can we say that new “men” are being born?

– “Zorya” has always been “men”. We are also building a new team. Many young players – Yatsyk, Horbach, Slesar, Eskinha, Gusev… It takes some time. I am sure that this character will come. He was there in the game against Polissia, and he was also there today. We must continue to work like this. Two more important games before the break. We need to win them and move up in the standings. Our team has great potential.

– In the first half, you played a little against the opponent, and in the second half, you tried to impose your own football. Was that the plan?
