Metalist Legionary 1925: “I will not play with Russia. Ukraine is my family ”

On March 25, there will be a friendly match between the national teams of Russia and Zambia. The challenge for this match was received by the midfielder of Kharkiv Metalist 1925 Golden Mafventa.

The football player decided to refuse to travel this confrontation and commented on his act:

– Golden, you did not go to the location of your team for a friendly match with Russia. Why?

– It’s simple. I think he did it for my family – Metalist 1925. It would be wrong for me if I went to the location of the national team that would play against Russia. It is not in good relations with Ukraine now.

– Who made this decision?

– I myself made this decision, talking to Metalist’s management 1925.

– And what was the reaction of the Zambia national team?

– They understood everything. I cannot go to play against Russia, because now Ukraine is my family.

– What is your opinion about Russia’s war against Ukraine?

– I just want this unpredictable clash to end as soon as possible, and everything was good, – said the football player.
