Medvedev: “Oliynikova? It’s her opinion, and honestly, I don’t have anything to say about it.”

Russian tennis player Daniil Medvedev reacted to the interview of the Ukrainian woman at the press conference Oleksandra Oliynykova for L’Équipe, in which she accused the Russian of supporting Putin:

– The Ukrainian tennis player stated that, in her opinion, Russians should not be allowed to participate in international tennis tournaments. She also condemned the players, including yourself, for participating in an exhibition match sponsored by a major Russian oil company linked to the war in Ukraine. How will you react to this?

– In general, I respect all opinions of all people. I’m trying to… It’s a little bit different on the court, isn’t it? But off the court I respect all opinions. So this is her opinion, and, frankly, I have nothing to say about it, – stated Medvedev.

Arina Sobolenko and Diana Schneider also commented on Oliynikova’s words, whom Oliynikova also mentioned in her interview.
