As part of the cooperation, Maincast will be responsible for content creation, and 1+1 media will be responsible for the distribution of the TV channel. The plans for 2024-2025 are to ensure maximum coverage of the resource and its live broadcasts of global eSports tournaments, podcasts, and charity shows. This will be done by involving the maximum number of providers and leading OTT platforms, in particular Kyivstar TV.
“In recent years, the popularity of e-sports among the Ukrainian audience has been growing. In the conditions of a full-scale war, it is important to support TV channels that create quality content in accordance with the needs of viewers and at the same time implement volunteer initiatives in broadcasting. The goal of our cooperation with Maincast is to popularize the channel, so the distribution will cover a lot of resources: among them OTT platforms and regional IPTV providers,” commented the head of the distribution department of 1+1 media Ivan Primakov
The content of the TV channel will include e-sports broadcasts of the largest world tournaments (Counter-Strike 2, Dota 2, Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six, Valorant), analytical programs, podcasts, exciting shows, the main news of e-sports and charitable initiatives to support gatherings for the Security and Defense Forces of Ukraine. Every year, the channel will generate thousands of hours of exclusive eSports content. In addition, 1+1 media together with Maincast have ambitious plans for cooperation and plan to expand the scope of the partnership.
“For the past five years, unfortunately, circumstances have prevented us from implementing a rather old idea of our team – to launch a full-fledged broadcast e-sports TV channel. We understand that the media market needed it, and therefore, despite everything, we still did it. We believe , that the partnership of leaders in their fields — Maincast in eSports and 1+1 media distribution in media — is a priori very promising, mutually beneficial and will definitely give an incentive for both the development of our companies and the media market in general. Therefore, from November 30, look for the Maincast TV channel on OTT platforms and from your provider and watch eSports with us!”, commented Maincast CEO Andrii Grigoriev.
