Mykola Yatsyshinets was born on December 19, 1978 in Lviv. In his native city, he studied at Lyceum No. 66, and later earned a degree in engineering at the Lviv Polytechnic. Mykola worked as an electrician.
Mykola was kind, calm and sincere, always ready to help others. He was distinguished by his charisma, love of life and good sense of humor, loved nature, was interested in weapons, was an ardent fan of the “Karpaty” football club, never missed a single match.
The man was most proud of his family — two sons and a daughter. He was a father who never said much but was always there. Mykola is also survived by his mother, brother and sister.
Yatsyhynets was mobilized to the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in 2024. He served as part of the 68th separate hunting brigade named after Oleksa Dovbush, defending the Ukrainian land from the Russian invaders.
Farewell to Mykola took place in the Garrison Church of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul, after which a city-wide ceremony took place on Rynok Square. Mykola was buried on the Field of Mars of the Lychakiv cemetery.
According to data from open sources, Mykola became the 22nd active supporter of “Karpat” who died during this Russian-Ukrainian war. In particular, Lviv ultras Taras Chuchman, Rostyslav Shiyko, Yurii Osadchuk, Taras Berezyuk, Viktor Petrov, Oleksandr Kurii, Andriy Garasym, Mykola Zabhavchuk, Ivan Zarivnyak, Ruslan Zagurskyi, as well as pupils of the “Karpat” school Oleg Mazur, Pavlo Kyrychenko, Igor Severenchuk and Igor Duma gave their lives for Ukraine.
