Track in sports Pavlo Komyshanchenko was born on January 18, 1974 in Kharkiv. Pavlo has been interested in cycling since childhood, studied at the cycling department at the Kharkiv State Higher School of Physical Culture No. 1 (now the Kharkiv Professional College of Sports), later graduated from the Kharkiv State Academy of Physical Culture.
As an athlete, Komyshanchenko was a multiple winner and prize-winner of the Ukrainian road cycling championships among young men and juniors, the winner of the Youth Spartakiad of Ukraine, a candidate for master of sports, and a member of the junior national team of Ukraine.
After the end of his sports career, Pavlo worked as a cycling coach, in particular in Kharkiv at the Olimpia Youth Sports School and the Peremoga club. Before the full-scale war, the man lived with his family in Poltava.
Combat experience and death After the full-scale invasion of the Russian invaders, Pavlo Komyshanchenko was going to join the ranks of the Defense Forces, but at first he was not accepted because his spine was broken in three places. For a year, Pavel was not summoned to the Military Commissariat, but later he was served with a summons and he went to the front. Komyshanchenko served as a senior gunner-operator in Donetsk region, repulsed the attacks of the occupiers near Avdiyivka.
Pavlo died on February 10, 2024 while performing a combat mission near Avdiivka in Donetsk region. Then the warrior captured the occupier. Returning back, I came across an enemy DRG. Muscovites wounded Pavel in the leg, and he just bled.
Pavel Komyshanchenko was buried on February 16, 2024 in Poltava. He is survived by his wife and two daughters.
