Leonenko told why Rebrov did not call Lunin to the national team

Former Dynamo Kyiv player Viktor Leonenko shared his opinion about the decision of head coach of the Ukrainian national team Serhiy Rebrov not to call Real Madrid goalkeeper Andriy Lunin to the squad:

– You were surprised that Rebrov summoned Volynets from “Forested»but left Lunin out of the application “Real»?

– Nothing surprises me, Rebrov is responsible for the result and there is no need to tell him anything. Moreover, Rebrov himself said that those who do not play will not be called to the national team.

What’s the point of summoning Lunin if he won’t stand at the gate? Alonso also does not particularly count on him and is dissatisfied with him at Real Madrid. Xabi is a good coach, but as it turned out, Real Madrid is not his team. In “Bayer” he was invincible, but he came to “Real” and everything changed.

Thank God, there are no problems with goalkeepers in the national team of Ukraine, especially as we all know that Trubin will stand, – said Leonenko.
