The famous German coach Jurgen Klopp expressed his point of view regarding personnel changes in Real Madrid after the dismissal of Xabi Alonso. It will be recalled that the specialist left his position the next day after the “cream” lost in the final match of the Spanish Super Cup against “Barcelona” (2:3).
“The fact that Xabi Alonso, who has proven his exceptional talent for more than two years in Leverkusen, is forced to leave Real Madrid after just six months, is indicative of the club’s internal problems,” Klopp is quoted as saying by Forbes.
Alonso has been in charge of Real Madrid since the summer of 2025, having moved from Bayer Leverkusen. Alvaro Arbeloa, who also defended the colors of the club in the past, became the new coach of the Madrid team.
It should be added that earlier in the press there was information that Klopp himself is on the list of applicants for the position of head coach of Madrid.
