The decision was made on December 30 at an open meeting of the NCRECP.“In 2024, 85% is the income from the transportation of gas originating in the Russian Federation. That is, 15% is what remains for us in 2024 from domestic customers. Thus, the tariff increase is not even enough for full compensation, but we agree, we we understand that now the economy of Ukraine needs balanced and fair decisions”, – said Dmytro Lippa, General Director of the Operator of the GTS of Ukraine.
He also noted that the GTS Operator, for its part, has been working on cost reduction for two years. According to him, the company has significantly reduced the number of personnel, and the objects that are not in use are gradually being transferred to the mode of temporary conservation.
