In Sweden, a decrease in the number of contractual matches was recorded

The Swedish Gambling Authority has reported a sustained decrease in the number of reports of suspected match-fixing, indicating an improvement in the integrity of the regulated betting market.

According to the 2025 report, the regulator received only two reports from partner organizations IBIA and ULIS, compared to five in 2024 and 12 in 2023.

Following regulatory changes in mid-2024, licensed operators are required to report suspicions immediately. In 2025, they submitted four reports, one of which coincided with an already recorded case. Despite limited historical data, this mechanism is considered an important surveillance enhancement.

The regulator also audited all licensed bookmakers last year, assessing their monitoring systems and anti-match-fixing procedures.

Despite the positive dynamics, the regulator emphasized that manipulation methods continue to become more complicated, therefore constant vigilance and cross-sectoral interaction remain priorities.
