It is noted that the utility company “OMET” calculated the fare for travel in the city’s electric transport in accordance with the current procedure for forming tariffs, which was approved by the order of the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine.
“According to the performed calculations, in order to ensure the proper quality of passenger transportation services, as well as repair and maintenance of trams, trolleybuses and contact and cable networks of KP “OMET”, a new tariff for one-time travel in city electric transport will be introduced – 15 hryvnias,” – said in the message.
At the same time, it is ensured that the existing benefits for traveling in trams and trolleybuses for pupils and students are preserved. In particular, the price of one trip with permanent travel tickets on a tram or trolleybus will be 2 hryvnias for students, 4 hryvnias for students, and 7 hryvnias for the public.
In addition, from December 1, private carriers engaged in bus passenger transportation are scheduled to increase the fare on public transport to 20 hryvnias around the city. There is also an increase in the fare to 40 hryvnias when traveling up to the 6th kilometer of the Ovidiopol road.
The mayor’s office explained that during the years 2022-2024, in many cities of Ukraine, despite the introduction of martial law, there was an increase in the cost of travel in city electric transport, and in Odesa, they have not increased since 2021.
“Since 2022, there have been changes that have affected the increase in the cost of providing services, as the prices of spare parts, main and auxiliary materials have increased significantly. Under such conditions, the difference between economically justified costs and current tariffs for passenger transportation arises and increases,” the message reads. .
