23 cases were documented when 18 men of draft age crossed the state border without him, based on the letters of a people’s deputy.
The People’s Deputy transported men abroad / photo of the DBRThe current People’s Deputy of Ukraine, who organized his acquaintances to illegally cross the border under the guise of “drivers”, was informed of the suspicion.As noted in the notice on the website of the State Bureau of Investigation, starting in July 2022, the people’s deputy sent letters on his behalf to the State Border Service of Ukraine to grant permission for the departure of men in the guise of drivers who were supposed to accompany him abroad.
“23 cases were documented when, on the basis of the MP’s letters, 18 men of conscription age crossed the state border without him, because at the time of their crossing he was either already abroad or did not leave the country at all,” the report says.
Sometimes for trips abroad, he needed up to five drivers at the same time. It is emphasized that three of such “drivers” did not return to Ukraine at all.
Thus, the People’s Deput was informed of the suspicion of organizing illegal transportation of persons across the state border using official position and official forgery (Part 2 of Article 332, Part 1 of Article 366 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). The sanction of the articles provides for punishment in the form of deprivation of liberty for a term of up to 7 years.
In addition, the deputy was handed a motion to choose a preventive measure in the form of detention, which will be submitted for consideration by an investigating judge.
Also, people’s deputy and persons who traveled abroad in this way are searched.

What else is known about illegal border crossingAs UNIAN reported, two residents of Transcarpathia tried to illegally cross the Ukrainian-Slovak border with their compatriots of military age, joining the funeral procession of a soldier who died at the front.
Offenders even hung a national flag from the window of the car in which the border violators were being transported. However, the tricks of the shippers were exposed.
