Having lost 8.7 seconds, another Norwegian, Vetle Poulsen, finished second. The top three was closed by Philip Lindqvist-Flotten from Sweden.
Only one Ukrainian biathlete made it to the qualifying zone, he was Denys Nasyko. The athlete went to the penalty circle twice, but he managed to be in the 27th position.
Other representatives of Ukraine finished the race outside the top 60: Stepan Kinash – 63rd, Oleksandr Ponomarenko – 65th, Mykhailo Khmil – 66th, Volodymyr Aksyuta – 106th.
But Serhii Suprun did not start for unknown reasons.
