IBU Cup. French podium. Merkushina entered the top 30 sprint for the second time

On Saturday, January 11, the second women’s sprint of 7.5 kilometers was held as part of the fourth stage of the IBU Cup.

The place of the race was the German city of Arber.

As a result of the race, only biathletes from France reached the podium. The first was Gillonne Gigonne, who missed the target only once at the shooting range. The winner of the previous sprint, Amandine Mengen, lost 6.5 seconds to the leader and finished second. Voldia Halmas Polen was on the third step.

Anastasia Merkushina entered the top thirty for the second time in a row at the fourth stage of the competition. The biathlete finished the race with two misses on the shooting range and with a lag of 1 minute and 55 seconds.

Three other representatives of Ukraine also managed to make it to the pursuit race: Lyubov Kypyachenkova – 32nd position, Valeriya Dmytrenko – 43rd, Nadiya Belkina – 51st.

Oksana Kovalenko, who finished the sprint in 73rd place, did not win the race.
