Hockey World Cup. The US national team rewrites the history of exits into the finals

In the first semi -final match of the World Hockey, the US national team defeated the owners of the competition, the Swedish national team, with a score of 6: 2 and became the first finalist of the tournament.

The US national team has overcome the top European teams in the last three matches.

US – Czech Republic 5: 2
US – Finland 5: 2
US – Sweden 6: 2

Americans are two -time world champions, but they last won in 1960. The United States won the first gold in 1933.

An interesting fact is that the Americans have won their first semifinals since 1934! In 1960, the result of the Olympic Games was also enrolled as a result of the World Cup.

In the final match, the United States will play with the winner of the couple Switzerland – Denmark. For the first time in 65 years, Americans will try to become world champions.
