The International Hockey Federation has named the groups for the World Cup in the elite division. The tournament will be held in Switzerland from May 15 to May 31, 2026.
Group A (Zurich): USA, Switzerland, Finland, Germany, Latvia, Austria, Hungary, United Kingdom.
Group B (Friburg): Canada, Sweden, Czech Republic, Denmark, Slovakia, Norway, Slovenia, Italy.
The current champion is the US national team.
According to the results of the group tournament, the best four teams of each group will reach the quarterfinals, and one of the worst team will fly to the division 1A.
