Hockey at the Olympics. The Swedish national team started with a victory over the hosts

The first day of the men’s Olympic hockey tournament ended with the match of the hosts of the Italians against the Swedish national team, which is considered one of the favorites.

Italy put up a worthy resistance, but conceded with a score of 2:5.

The home team managed to shock the famous opponent at the start of the meeting, when Frigo took advantage of a blunder by the goalkeeper. The Swedes took the lead before the break, but the Italians equalized in the first minute of the second half of the match.

Despite the great game of goalkeeper Damian Clara, Sweden managed to go to the break with the third dropped puck.

In the third 20 minutes, the main goalkeeper of Italy was injured, and Sweden finished off the opponent with two pucks, including an empty net.
