Norwegian grandmaster Magnus Carlsen protested FIDE’s decision in an unusual way. He appeared for an interview with the Norwegian TV channel VGTV in a jacket and red shorts. 
This was Magnus’s reaction to the decision of the International Chess Federation (FIDE) to disqualify him from the World Rapid Chess Championship for violating the dress code.
FIDE removed the 34-year-old Carlsen from the competition because he appeared at the tournament in New York wearing jeans, which is against the established rules of the dress code.
After that, Carlsen sent FIDE far away in a direct text and again surprised everyone with his non-standard behavior.
