Australian Open 2026. 1/64 of the final
Coco Goff (USA) [3] – Kamilla Rahimova (Uzbekistan) – 6:2, 6:3
Koko’s problems with double faults did not go away – the American made seven mistakes during the match.
Goff made her seventh appearance on the Melbourne courts and made it past the opening round for the sixth time. Coco’s best result at the Aus Open is a semi-final in 2024.
Goff’s next opponent at the Australian Open will be Olha Danylovych, who a day earlier beat Venus Williams.
Rakhimova represented Russia until November 2025, and then switched to the flag of Uzbekistan.
Since 2000, Goff has become one of only four female tennis players age 21 or younger to record 75 or more Grand Slam singles victories, along with Venus Williams, Serena Williams and Maria Sharapova.
Coco also earned her 250th career victory at the Tour level. At 21 years and 311 days, Goff became the youngest tennis player to reach the mark since Caroline Wozniacki (20 years and 316 days) in 2011.
