In the first half of the year, we should expect a price increase of up to 20%.Oleg Popenko, the head of the Union of Utilities Consumers, said this in an exclusive comment to UNIAN.
“Due to an increase in the cost of gas transportation, the price of this fuel for industry and business will automatically increase. And prices in Ukraine can rise for virtually everything. Prices for all goods and services – from food to rent – may increase, because the price of gas indirectly affects the cost of electricity , as the largest consumers of gas transportation services are energy companies and regional gas companies,” the expert noted.
According to him, in the first half of 2025, product prices may increase by 10-20%.

According to him, vegetables are most sensitive to the weather, which directly affects the yield, so prices can jump up to 30-50%. At the same time, eggs will continue to become more expensive due to the high cost of feed.
As for meat, the increase in prices will be limited due to a decrease in demand for expensive products. Thus, the price increase will be up to 2-5%, and bread and dairy products may add 10-15% depending on the cost of raw materials.
