France Wins Mixed Relay at Biathlon Event

The French team triumphed in the mixed relay at the biathlon event, securing first place with a strong performance from Éric Perrot, Quentin Fillon Maillet, Lou Jeanmonnot, and Julia Simon. The host nation, Italy, finished in second place, while Germany took third.

The Ukrainian team, comprised of Dmytro Pidruchny, Vitalii Mandzin, Olena Horodna, and Oleksandra Merkusheva, concluded the race in eighth position. The men’s segment was executed at a high level, with Mandzin passing the baton to Horodna in sixth place, approximately half a minute behind the leaders.

However, Pidruchny encountered challenges during the standing shooting stage, requiring a full set of cartridges—five main and three additional—to complete the course. Despite the women’s team performing well in shooting, their overall physical readiness limited their ability to improve their standing.

The French biathlon team secured victory in the mixed relay, while Ukraine finished eighth. The competition highlighted the challenges faced by the Ukrainian team during the event.
