Former head coach of the national team of Ukraine Joseph Szabo named the symbolic national team of the first part of the Ukrainian Premier League season 2025/26:
- Goalkeeper: Dmytro Riznyk (“Shakhtar”).
- Defenders: Oleksandr Karavaev, Taras Mykhavko (both – “Dynamo”), Mykola Matvienko, Pedro Enrique (both – “Shakhtar”).
- Midfielders: Ivan Kalyuzhny (“Metalist 1925”), Marlon Gomez, Pedrinho (both Shakhtar), Prosper Oba (LNZ), Gleyker Mendoza (“Kryvbas”).
- Attacker: Matviy Ponomarenko (“Dynamo”)
It is interesting that Matvii Ponomarenko, whom Jozef Sabo recently praised and placed in the position of center forward in his symbolic national team, played only 5 matches in this season of the Ukrainian Premier League, scoring 2 goals.
