And, after previously being player-manager of Cambridge City, he has been handed the same role by Kings Park Rangers.

The tenth tier side, who are second in Eastern Counties League Division One North, thanked owner Pollard for his stint at the helm.

A club statement, released on X, read: “John transformed our club and leaves us in an incredibly strong position.

“His dedication, passion and tactical brilliance brought success we’ll never forget.

“Polly will now step back from the touchline to focus on developing Kings Park Rangers in his role as club owner, ensuring our continued growth both on and off the pitch.

“Thank you for everything, gaffer. Once a King, always a King.”

Pollard guided non-league Kings Park Rangers to silverware and 51 wins across his 66 games in charge.

Cureton joined the Suffolk-based outfit in October and, later that month, made history by becoming the first player to score in each of the top ten tiers of English football.

The marksman’s record-breaking feat came thanks to a half-volley against Dussindale & Hellesdon Reserves.

Cureton found the back of the net four times in the Premier League with Norwich.

And he has agreed to have another go at management after being axed by Cambridge City earlier this season.

A trip to Wivenhoe Town on Saturday will be Cureton’s first showdown in the Kings Park Rangers hot-seat.
