But Today’s golfer reckon Cabrera will make a comeback this year.
All former Masters winners are eligible to compete at Augusta.
But Cabrera has been absent since 2019.
The first two years of that was due to Covid.
But he was then locked up – spending time in three prisons.
Cabrera told local press that jail had been good for him.
And in a 2024 interview with Golf Digest he told of his remorse over “serious mistakes” in committing his offences.

Since turning pro in 1989, Cabrera has won about $17million (almost £14m).
He is on a list of 92 players invited to contest the Masters, from April 10-13.
Augusta National chairman Fred Ridley has been quoted as saying his return would be welcome.
Ridley also described him as “one of our great champions”.
He added that “legal” matters had ruled the 2007 US Open winner out of playing at Augusta for the “last couple of years”.
He said: “We’ll definitely welcome him back if he’s able to straighten out those legal issues.”
