Fedor Cherkashin: “Allotey? When he met with top orders-lost ”

Ukrainian boxer Fedor Cherkashin (now represents Poland), which performs in the middle weight category, in the professional ring spent 26 matches, in 25 of them he won (15 knockouts). Already on February 1, the Polish-Ukrainian boxer will go to the ring again. He will box against an experienced athlete from Ghana – Patrick Allothea (44-7, 34 KOs). The battle will take place in the American Newark.

Fyodor Cherkashin told about how the preparation for battle was in exclusive interview for Sport.ua.

– How was your preparation for the duel? How do you evaluate Camp and Sparring?

– received a duel offer 5 and a half weeks before the battle. He agreed quickly, and sparring began almost immediately. I was preparing in Warsaw, and I think that the team and I did a great job. I feel ready.

– In what form are you now? Are you ready for 100%?

– I spent the last match in late October, so now I feel good. It is always better to stay active, and it helps to be in tone. I feel that the preparation has gone well, so it is ready for 100%.

– Your rival has spent a large number of matches in the professional ring. What do you think of him?

– Yes, he is an experienced fighter, spent many duels. But when he met with top orders, he lost. My task is to do your job in this battle without any doubt.

– What are your opponent’s strengths and weaknesses?

– Among its strengths – speed, agility and experience. But there are also weaknesses, such as certain gaps in protection. I will try to use it in the ring.

– Do you have any special tactics for this match?

– Every fight has its own tactics. For this match, the task is to keep it in tension and not let it relax. Hope he will not read this interview! (laughs)

– What fee will you get for the battle against Patrick Allothea?

– Gentlemen do not talk about money! But seriously, I have not yet reached the level of high fees. Everything ahead.

– You spent the last 4 duels at home, in Poland. Now you come back to boxing in the US. How can this affect the battle? Do you like fighting in the states?

– Yes, I like to box in the US. It will be my fourth battle here, and it will take place in the big prudential center. I expect many boxing fans, the atmosphere will be excellent. In addition, I am playing in the mein of the event, so this is another important step in my career.

– What will the victory in this duel mean to you? Will it help you get closer to the full WBC title?

– Victory in this battle is another step forward, another opportunity to declare yourself. With every fight, I am closer to my goal, and of course I want to fight for the full WBC title in the future. But now the main thing is to do your work on February 1.
