According to the source, Malinovsky is one of the main candidates for reinforcement of the team, as the New York City remain free two quotas of Designated Player (players with a special contract in MLS).
The 31-year-old midfielder is now competing for the Italian club Genoa. In the current season of series A, Malinovsky had only 5 matches due to his feet injury, without goals scored.
A potential transition to MLS can be a new challenge for a Ukrainian who has previously advocated Shakhtar, Dawn, Genk, Atlanta and Marseille.
