Last season saw Premier League clubs have just badges and no abbreviation on the scoreboardCredit: Twitter @stator_But football’s return to TV screens was ruined for some by the new look score graphic.
Sky Sports have ditched the simple abbreviations they used for all EFL matches.
And they have replaced it with a design similar to the one in place for Premier League games.
Club badges are now included with the team’s abbreviation below.
A new font is also in use for the words, score and the time.
Fans do not like the change, with one saying: “The new Sky Sports graphics look s*** and it’s really annoying me.”
Another added: “This new font on the Sky Sports football graphics is not the one.”
A third commented: “Hate it, why are the badges so small.”
More raged: “These new Sky Sports graphics are dreadful. Why change something that wasn’t broken?”
Luton are playing their first match in League One after suffering back-to-back relegations from the Premier League.
