Dawn midfielder explained what the club was not enough to fight for the European Cup

Lugansk’s midfielder “Dawn” Petar Michin The results of the 2024/25 season were summarized, indicating what the team was not enough to get into the European Cup zone.

– To be honest – it was a normal season for us. I would like better. In general, it was not a failing season. Everyone understands: both management, coaching staff, and staff, and we ourselves, that we need to make it all together so that the next season is better.

Were able to be higher. We understand – the middle of the table, this is not an achievement. Playing Polissya, for example, showed that they are no better than us. We lost through mini-detals. I repeat, “Carpathians”, “Polissya” and “Kryvbas”, in my opinion, is not better than us.

There was no stability in the game. 2-3 gave the top matches and then a failure. Many points lost in duels where it was impossible to lose them. Yes, they took points in Dynamo and Shakhtar, and then lost to teams that could not be lost.

– Recently, you have not always got into our team. According to the results of this season, under the goal+pass you have 12 points (9 goals and 3 gears). What has changed in your opinion?

– He did not play at the beginning of the season. There was another coach. When Mladen became the head coach, I started playing often. He played almost always. Mladen gave me confidence in myself, freedom in actions. Just believed in me. I played the team and glad to help win.

– What role do you like more: Goleador or Assistant?

– Always more emotions when you score. But when you make an assist, such as against LNZ, you will also enjoy. We want everyone to do so, think about the team, about partners, not individual performance. It does not matter who scores and gives, most importantly – a team victory.

– How important is the microclimate in the team and what is it in Dawn?

– It is very important. One of the most important things in football. If we communicate with each other normal, there will be more dedication on the field, more struggle for each other. We need to play for yourself, for the club, for the coaching staff, for the management. We all do the only thing. We need to respect the work of each of the club.

– We were in the fight for the European Cups for a long time. What did we not have enough?

– stability was not enough, above all. Everything in the team was good, trained, tried. But in the game against Heather, for example, the 10th minute A is already 0: 2. It is difficult to get back to the game. The same was in the match against Kolos. Lost points in these matches.

In physical terms and in the atmosphere, everything was normal, but sometimes they did not go into the game, and then it was late. This does not say that we did not want to, just that happened. We will somehow correct it. The coaching staff will help us in this.

– You have good performance, as we have already discussed. Can this help get a call to Serbia national team?

– In my opinion, at the moment, it is difficult to get into the national team. In my position playing players from the best championships and in the best clubs in Europe. There are many good players in Serbia. In order to get into the national team, you need to play even better and above.

– Are you satisfied with your personal season?

– The personal season is yes. I set the task before starting the championship – to score 10 goals and give 5 goals. There was not enough. But in general, I am satisfied with personal achievements. I hope the next season will be better for me and the team as a whole.

– How do you spend your vacation?

– I am almost all the time at home. I may still have time to go to the sea. And of course, in parallel, I prepare for the next meeting.
