Czech Republic – Croatia. Forecast and announcement for the World Cup Qualification match

On October 9, the Fortuna Arena will host a selection match for the World Cup in Europe, which will meet the national teams of the Czech Republic and Croatia. The match will start at 21:45 Kyiv time.

Czech Republic

The team does not miss the euro and quite often succeeds. But not last year, when a number of mistakes in defense failed to go to the playoffs. Now the national team wants to finally go to the World Cup – it does not happen chronically. Now Ivan Hashek’s wards, on the one hand, were defeated 1: 5 in Croatia. On the other hand, they showed one hundred percent results, with the Faroe Islands, Gibraltra and, twice, Montenegro, there were only victories. So there is still a chance to get into the lead, but only with success now, preferably great.

Croatia

The team under the leadership of Zlatko Daliche has achieved a lot of success. But it is at the World Championships: record second place in 2018, bronze in Qatar. At the same time, at last year’s euro, missing in the extremities and losing victories, Modric and the company did not leave the group! And in the League of Nations, everything was spoiled for themselves. After going out in the playoffs and winning there in France 2-0, then allowed to take a favorite with the same score, as a result, they lost in a penalty series.

But in the selection so far the team shows a 100 % figure. Yes, it was unexpectedly not easy with the Faroe Islands, but there was a result of winning, albeit 1: 0. The rest of the matches were defeated: 7: 0 with Gibraltra, 5: 1 with the Czech Republic and, in September, 4: 0 with Montenegro.
