The match was full of goals, and both teams were active already in the first half. The Cypriots took the lead in the 16th minute (E. Andreu), but Estonia regained the balance before the break thanks to an own goal by Kuprian (44th minute).
At the beginning of the second half, Cyprus took the lead again (2:1) after a goal by Andronikos Kakulis (48th minute). However, Estonia turned the game around near the end of the match, scoring three times. All three goals were scored by Rauno Sappinen (78, 83, 87 minutes), which secured the victory of the guests with a final score of 4:2.
